The 3 things you NEED to know about Wrong Fuel!

Water Contamination or AdBlue Contamination

Water contaminated fuel, regardless of whether it's unleaded or diesel, is in many cases an important situation to address in a vehicle - especially in advanced common-rail engines.

Putting water or AdBlue in the fuel tank may well produce idling problems, irregular running, increased smoke and, if not remedied correctly, possibly blown injectors. Water in petrol is a lot easier to drain as compared to water in diesel - primarily because diesel is an oil. Having said that we can handle both circumstances quite easily.

Take note however that if ever the vehicle was run on the water contamination it will likely require a new fuel filter fitted seeing that the old one will undoubtedly be totally water-logged and ineffective.

Boat Fuel Drains

If it turns out you have the wrong fuel, or perhaps contaminated fuel (most typically water contamination or degraded fuel) in a boat we can help you get it out. Assuming that the boat is either on land, or parked close to parking bay we will be able to gain access to the fuel tanks and drain out the contaminated fuel. We have done quite a few fuel drains at piers and boatyards throughout the country.
